Here is some intersting information for CILANTRO.
For thousands of years Cilantro has been a popular sesoning in the Mediterranean
and the Orient. Cilantro also called coriander, is also becoming a favorite seasoning
by American cooks who are using it in ethnic foods, especially Mexican cuisine. It makes
a very distinct flavor with a strong contribution of all kinds of dishes.
It is carried in most supermarkets and is labeled as Chinese parsley and is found with
most of the fresh herbs in the fresh produce section. The Cilantro has a ripple-edged flat
leaf and has a fragrant aroma. Cilantro does not hold up well under excessive periods
of high heat, so add it near the end of your cooking period, to get the best flavor. _________________ Better part of living is "EATING GOOD FOOD" |
